LinkedIn Learning is a leading online learning platform that helps people learn business, software, technology and creative skills to achieve personal and professional goals. Through the University of North Texas subscription, UNT students and employees have access to the LinkedIn Learning video library of engaging, top-quality courses taught by recognized industry experts.
LinkedIn Learning courses can be accessed from within Canvas and faculty are encouraged to incorporate these materials into their courses. For information on how to access the LinkedIn Learning website and login, the UIT Helpdesk has created a guide.

Expand the Assignments button below to learn how to add a LinkedIn Learning assignment to your course in Canvas.
To integrate a LinkedIn Learning video as an assignment, assign points, and view a student's progress through the videos, follow these steps:
In the course navigation menu on the left, click on the Assignments tab.
Create a new assignment by clicking the green +Assignment button.
Add an assignment name at the top and instructions in the text box and enter the point value for the assignment,
Under Submission Type select "External Tool" from the dropdown.
Click the gray "Find" button next to the URL box and choose LinkedIn Learning in the Configure External Tool window.
LinkedIn Learning should open a new window providing a search area for you to find and select a LinkedIn Learning resource. Click Add next to the resource you want to use for the assignment and then Confirm at the bottom of the window.
Click Select
Add any additional assignment settings such as availability dates or due date, and then click Save & Publish at the bottom of the window.
The new assignment will open in the same window.
The LinkedIn Learning course is now connected to the Canvas assignment. Canvas will automatically monitor a student's progress through the LinkedIn Learning course and assign a grade in the gradebook.
